Ms. Cynthia León, Principal

Ms. Cynthia León is the proud principal of Desert Oasis Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. Joining Tolleson ESD in 2023, she brings effective leadership skills to support and lead our staff and teachers, along with experience in curriculum and program development, coaching, and community engagement. Ms. León is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Ms. Aleksandra West-Taylor, Assistant Principal

Ms. Aleksandra West-Taylor joined Desert Oasis as a teacher in 2015 as part of the ITeach AZ Master Program. She also served as an instructional coach for three years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Grand Canyon University, a Master’s Degree from Arizona State University, and an Education Specialist Degree in Leadership & Principalship (EDS) from Arkansas State University.
